About Bloomers Gulf Coast
Bloomers publishes practical writing for people who garden where heat, humidity, salt air, and storm season shape the calendar. We focus on the Lower South—especially the Mobile area—with reporting, essays, and guides that respect local weather, soils, and neighborhoods.
We are not a retail nursery. We do not sell plants or hardscape. Our job is to explain how things work in real yards: water, shade, tools, pests, and the small decisions that add up across a growing season.
What we publish
Longer essays, how-to guides with checklists and diagrams, gear notes, and neighborhood-scale reporting from Midtown and nearby communities. We aim for clarity first: what to do, when it matters, and what to verify on your own lot.
Editorial standards
We do not confuse advertising with reporting. Sponsored placements and affiliate links are labeled in plain language. Commerce does not determine our conclusions; when we are wrong, we correct the record.
Corrections
Gardening advice depends on site conditions. If something here does not match what you observe, trust your measurements, Extension guidance, and local experience—and let us know through Contact if we need to update a detail.
Photography and data
Many photographs still come from licensed stock while we add original Gulf Coast imagery. Regional statistics and recurring callouts are maintained centrally so figures stay consistent across articles.
